The latest information from the Oklahoma State Department of Health on Tuesday, June 9, shows that there are 158 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma,putting the state’s total of cases since testing started at 7,363. There are 1,290 active COVID-19 cases in Oklahoma at this time.
Locally, Kay, Payne and Garfield counties all have one new COVID-19 case. Overall stats for local counties are posted below:
- Osage County- 102 cases overall/8 deaths/88 recoveries
- Kay County – 60 cases overall/7 deaths/46 recoveries
- Payne County – 52 cases overall/1 death/45 recoveries
- Pawnee County – 34 cases overall/2 deaths/27 recoveries
- Garfield County – 31 cases overall/1 death/25 recoveries
- Logan County – 21 cases overall/1 death/18 recoveries
- Noble County – 7 cases overall/no deaths/7 recoveries
- Grant County – 2 cases overall/no deaths/2 recoveries
More data from the Oklahoma State Department of Health shows that there have been five more virus-related deaths to put Oklahoma’s death toll at 353. All five deaths occurred between April 5 and June 7:
- An Oklahoma County Female in the 65 or older age group.
- A Tulsa County Female in the 50-64 age group.
- A Cleveland County male in the 65 or older age group.
- A Muskogee County female in the 65 or older age group.
- A Nowata County male in the 18-35 age group.
OSDH reports that 59 more Oklahomans have recovered from COVID-19 as the state’s recovery total is at 6,073.
As of Tuesday, 226,678 test results have returned negative. There have been 1,061 total hospitalizations, and 148 patients are currently hospitalized.
