A personal injury collision happened at 2:04 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 60, five miles west of Burbank in Osage County.
A white Chevy Silverado, driven by Clint Johnson, 46, of Pawhuska, and a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer, driven by Janet Chafin, 52, of Perry were both traveling west on Highway 60 when a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Sarah Bates, 46, of Hobbs, NM was heading east. Bates crossed the center line, causing Chafin to swerve to the right to avoid a collision. Chafin then drove into a culvert and impacted Johnson’s vehicle.
Bates was transported by Miller EMS to Alliance in Ponca City and admitted in stable condition with leg injuries. Chafin was sent by AirEvac to St. Johns in Tulsa and admitted in stable condition with leg, head, and trunk internal injuries. Chafin’s passenger, a 1-year-old male from Pawhuska, was not injured.
Seatbelts were in use by all individuals.
