(December 3, 1939 – January 15, 2017)
Judith A. Reece, resident of Ponca City, died Sunday, January 15, 2017, peacefully in her sleep. She was 77.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at First Baptist Church in Ponca City, with her grandson, Corey Reece, officiating. Services are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
Judi was born December 3, 1939, in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Marcile Runyon. She married Doyle Reece in Monroe, Michigan, on June 16, 1956. They moved to Ponca City in 1982. She worked at Garfield Elementary as a food service secretary for many years. She had a heart for the students and loved the staff she spent her days with. She enjoyed cooking, lunch dates with friends, and keeping up with social media; but more than anything, she loved the time she spent with family. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Ponca City.
Judi is survived by her sister, Glenda Koth, of Monroe, MI, her four children (all of Ponca City), James Reece, Steven Reece and his wife Crystal, Randy Reece, and Julie Rogers and her husband Rick; eleven grandchildren, Jeremiah Reece and Desiree, Stefanie Soucek and Jeff, Christyn Boring and Daniel, Jennifer Allen, Corey Reece and Hannah, Daniel Allen and Sarah. Judi had a special place in her heart for all nine great-grandchildren, Carly, Cameron, Kylie, Isaiah, Adalynn, Rosalie, Gabrielle, Emalie, and baby Allen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one brother.
The family will be at 1206 South 8th, Ponca City, OK.
