Residents in Blackwell who are signed up to NIXLE to receive text alerts should be aware that the system is changing in May, according to parent company Everbridge.
Those who subscribed to the service through the website by entering an e-mail address WILL NEED to download the Everbridge App, available on the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. Those who don’t download the app will get NIXLE alerts over the email, but not by text message. However, residents who subscribed to NIXLE by just texting their zip code to the service’s phone number don’t need to download the Everbridge app.
