Tonkawa Police, donor, provide coats to children

Chief John Whitham and the Tonkawa Police Department partnered with an anonymous donor to provide coats to several children in need in Tonkawa.
“The Tonkawa Police Department worked closely with school officials to ensure the coats were the size and color desired by the students. We share the vision of ensuring every child has a warm winter coat and is healthy and able to attend school regularly. We want children to know they are loved, and help them to have a strong sense of self- esteem. We were able to distribute over 20 new winter coats.”
The large number of coats were purchased for the Police Department, and officers brought them to the students at school. The officers involved agreed the smiles on the children’s faces were a huge reward!
