Team Radio Marketing Group - January 6, 2017 1:13 pm

Next week, more than 25 cruise lines, tour operators and travel companies will be at Oklahoma’s largest travel shows of the year, sponsored by AAA Travel.

Vacation and travel experts from around the country will present the latest news on 2017 getaways and travel incentives at the shows Jan. 14 and 15 in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

Competition in the travel business has never been more intense. As a result, travel providers are offering better deals than ever to entice travelers to book trips,” said Krista Mullenger, vice president of Travel, AAA Oklahoma. “These special shows are once-in-a-blue-moon opportunities for Oklahomans to save some real money on trips and vacations in the new year. The reason we call the shows Travel Extravaganzas is because they’re the biggest and grandest of the year in Oklahoma.”

The Tulsa show is Saturday, Jan. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tulsa Southern Hills Marriott, 1902 E 71st Street, just west of Lewis on 71st St.

The Oklahoma City show is Sunday, Jan. 15 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Quail Creek Golf & Country Club, 3501 Quail Creek Rd., east of the Hefner Parkway and north of NW 122nd St.

Among the 25-plus travel companies on hand will be Disney, Holland America Cruise Line, Insight Vacations, Uniworld River Cruises, Pleasant Holidays, Princess Cruises, Rocky Mountaineer, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Travel Impressions and Viking River Cruises. All will be making special presentations.

Cruise line and travel company representatives will reveal their 2017 travel packages and special travel incentives. Also, door prizes will be given away, including $500 AAA Travel vouchers. Admission is $3 for AAA members and $5 for non-members.

Exclusive “show only” travel offers, special bargains and AAA membership discounts will be available and AAA travel agents will be on hand to assist. You do not need to be a AAA member to attend.
