Elective surgeries in Oklahoma allowed to continue on Friday

Effective this Friday, it’s a ‘go’ for elective surgeries in Oklahoma, provided medical providers and facilities have enough PPE available.

This includes minor medical procedures and non-emergency dental procedures, and comes in an amended executive order from Governor Kevin Stitt.  The order also shields health care workers from civil lawsuits amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Stitt says the move is possible since the state is in a good position regarding hospital capacity, making it possible to bring some of these procedures back to help our hospitals and the Oklahomans who need them.  Contact your medical provider or dentist for more information.
