LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. (AP) – Police say a 36-year-old Oklahoma woman was more than two times over the legal limit for drunk driving when she found traveling the wrong way on an upstate New York highway.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it responded around 12:50 a.m. Monday to a report of a pick-up truck traveling north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 87, the Adirondack Northway, between exits 22 and 23 in the town of Lake George, 55 miles north of Albany.
Police say they located the vehicle a short time later parked along the highway but still facing the wrong way.
Officers charged the Oklahoma City resident with aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent.
She was being held on $500 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned later Monday morning.
