Leo William Avery, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday evening, December 4, 2016 at Blackwell Regional Hospital in Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 74 years.
Leo William Avery was born on December 2, 1942, in Burlington, Iowa, to Gail Beacher and Jewell Dean (Nunn) Avery. He married Judy JoAnn Ellington on October 31, 1975 in Miami, Oklahoma, and she preceded him in death on May, 12, 2006. He was a foreman at the Acme Foundry. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, tending flowerbeds, watching football and bartending.
He is survived by one daughter, Rachel Curtis of Blackwell, Oklahoma; three sons, Chris Avery of Portland, Oregon, Danny Avery of Oregon, and Tim Avery of Blackwell, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren, Amber Curtis, Austin Curtis, Cameron Hoover and T.C. Suggs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Barbara Sue Avery; one brother, Carey Avery; and one son, Leo William Avery.
