Brenda Kay Manuel
(December 11, 1953 – November 29, 2016)
Brenda Kay Manuel of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Tuesday evening, November 29, 2016, at her home at the age of 62 years.
Brenda Kay Manuel was born on December 11, 1953, in Blackwell to Earl William and Loretha Lee (Barrows) Beard. She grew attending Nardin Schools and following her education she married Mike Redding in July of 1970 and she served her family as a homemaker. She later married Billy Joe Prince on November 1, 1984, in Blackwell and they made Blackwell their home. She later worked in the housekeeping department at the Blackwell General Hospital. She was a member of the Bethesda Blackwell Church. She loved gospel singing and participated in the Narrow Way and Narrow Path Ministries. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and making clay pot lamps.
She is survived by her mother, Loretha Watts and husband Dal of Ponca City; a daughter, Mary Bonewell and husband Justin of Blackwell; five sons, Mike Redding and wife Trish of Ponca City, Robert Redding and wife Holly of Deer Creek, Tracy Prince and wife Judy of Florida, Brian Prince of Blackwell and Billy Prince of Blackwell; four sisters, Susie Sharp and husband Allen of Blackwell, Trisha Prince and husband Johnny of Blackwell, Vicky Ingram and husband David of Blackwell, and Michelle Snow and husband Michael of Texas; two brothers, Bobby Beard and wife Gayle of Blackwell and Earl Beard and wife Terri of Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband, Billy Joe; and two sisters, Wilma Beard and Rhonda Paige.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2nd at Bethesda Blackwell with Rev. Lonnie Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Sean Brown, Allen Sharp, Justin Sharp
