TONKAWA – Demaree King and Carlee Murray were named the Northern Oklahoma College Homecoming King and Queen Thursday night at the Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.
The coronation was held at halftime of the Mavs game against Redlands.
Murray is a sophomore from Granite majoring in General Arts & Sciences. Murray represents Women’s Basketball. She is an active member of the NOC Women’s basketball team. She is the daughter of Rafe and Tonya Murray.
King is a sophomore from Tulsa majoring in HPE&R. He represents NOC Student Senate. King is a member of the NOC Men’s basketball team, Student Senate, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is the son of Monica and Shoneric King.
Other queen candidates included Madison Dwyer, Perry; Hannah Hembree, Tonkawa; Ally Jennings, Ponca City; and Karli Lovelace, Stillwater.
Dwyer represents Easterling Hall. She is a sophomore from Perry majoring in Mass communications. She is an active member on the NOC Maverick Cheer Squad, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and an editor of the Maverick. She is the daughter of Alice and Ron Dwyer.
Hembree is a sophomore from Tonkawa majoring in Pre-Engineering. Hannah represents NOC’s Women’s Soccer. She is actively involved on NOC’s Soccer team and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is the daughter of Krista and Brian Hembree.
Jennings represents the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is a sophomore from Ponca City and is majoring in Pre-Medicine. She is an active member of the NOC Women’s Basketball team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Phi Theta Kappa. She is the daughter of Cary and Lisa Jennings.
Lovelace represents NOC Student Senate. She is a sophomore from Stillwater majoring in Business Administration and Management. Karli is active in NOC President Leadership Council, Student Senate, Business Club, Civitans Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the BCM and Phi Theta Kappa. She is the daughter of Arlan and Delisa Lovelace.
King candidates included Josh Ghram, Newkirk; Wyatt Johnson, Geronimo; Brady Hook, Tonkawa; and Josh Peterson, Broken Arrow.
Ghram represents NOC Athletic Training. He is a sophomore from Newkirk majoring in Athletic Training. Josh is an active member of NOC Athletic Training program. He is the son of Kay and Kyle Ghram.
Johnson is a freshman from Geronimo majoring in HPE&R. Wyatt represents NOC’s President Leadership Council. He is a member of the NOC Baseball team as a pitcher and actively involved Civitans club and President Leadership Council. He is the son of Mike and Diann Johnson.
Brady Hook is a sophomore from Tonkawa majoring in Pre-Engineering. Brady represents NOC Maverick Cheer. He is a member of the NOC Maverick Cheerleading team and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is the son of Jerry and Christi Hook.
Peterson represents Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He is a sophomore from Broken Arrow majoring in Criminal Justice. Josh is an active member of NOC Soccer team, the BCM and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Josh is the son of Christy and Dave Peterson.
The flower girl was Rylan Paul, daughter of Ryan and Jennie Paul and the crown bearer was Isaac Harmon, son of Scott and Jill Harmon.
