Lake Ponca Park will close Oct. 31 in preparation for this year’s Festival of Angels.

The Ponca City Park and Recreation Department will help in setting up the displays, along with volunteers.

The annual lighting display opens the night before Thanksgiving — Nov. 23 — and continues through Dec. 30. Displays will be set up at Lake Ponca Park and Cann Gardens, with the Host Angel, a 30-foot tall display, at the Pioneer Woman Statue. In all, there are more than 260 animated displays, making the Festival the largest animated lighting display in northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas.
