Kyle Dillingham, Horseshoe Road return to Poncan Theatre for CD release tonight

Beverly Bryant - October 27, 2016 2:18 pm

Kyle Dillingham and Horseshoe Road Band return to The Poncan Theatre at 7:30 p.m. tonight to celebrate the release of their new CD, “Fear or Faith.”

In 2006, Horseshoe Road released its debut album, Home Fires. Then, a second album, Reel to Reel, was released in 2008.  On the 10th anniversary of the first album, this new recording will be a landmark to celebrate for sure!

Excellent seats are still available for tonight’s concert. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and children under 6 are free.

Dillingham recently returned from a three-week trip to China representing the United States in China as part of the 3rd annual Silk Road International Arts Festival Tour. He was selected to be the English-speaking host and emcee.

Dillingham said that work on the new CD started last summer with Peter Markes (guitarist and vocalist), Brent Saulsbury (bassist and vocalist) and Dillingham brainstorming, writing, rehearsing and recording for this new album.

“We spent most of our time working up new material and captured some incredible tracks, but it still seemed to me that something was missing,” he said.

“I wanted this album to be different than the others and yet capture the essence of Horseshoe Road, so I decided to bring Steve Short (drummer) and Terry Scarberry (guitarist) on board to give this album that ‘full band’ appeal,” Dillingham said.  “Steve and Terry have actually been a part of Horseshoe Road since the beginning, although the core of the band has just been the guitar, bass, fiddle and vocal trio that most are familiar with.”
