Anita Sharina Howard

(June 30, 1992 – April 21, 2016)

Anita Sharina Howard, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Alliance Medical Center. She was 23.

Anita was born June 30, 1992 to Henry Howard Jr. and Cecelia Powell in Lancaster, CA. She was raised in Pawhuska, OK. She moved to Ponca City, OK where she finished school and received her CNA license and security license. Anita loved to sing and dance when nobody was looking. She had the biggest heart and a smile that would light up the world. She was always kind to everyone and willing to help anyone in need.

Anita is survived by her only daughter, Cecelia Powell, father, Henry Howard Jr., mother, Cecelia Powell, brothers, Kirby and Bryant Bailey, sisters, TaQwishah and Raquel Howard, and Philtasha Powell, nieces and nephews, Earnest, Donavan, Kelly, Da’Nae, Nevaeh, and Kelley.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Anita Bogney, grandfather, Ernest Powell, great-grandmother, Cecelia Lang, and great-grandfather, Jesse Lang.

Honorary flower girls will be Alisa Davis, Raquel Howard, and Tyrina Howard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kirby Bailey, Bryant Bailey, and Jonathan Garrison I.

To honor her life, a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Second Baptist Church in Ponca City at 11:00 AM with Pastor Newport officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM and Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM.
