Gayle Marie Brown
(April 4, 1957 – April 19, 2016)
Gayle Marie Brown, resident of Ponca City, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She was 59.
Gayle Marie Garlett Brown was born in Ponca City, OK on April 4, 1957 to Carl Garlett and Lucile Harvey Garlett. She grew up in Ponca City and graduated from Po-Hi in 1975. She also earned an Associate’s Degree from Northern Oklahoma College.
During her working years, she held several different jobs but the one she enjoyed the most was being a floral designer for Sonja’s Flower Shop. She had a real talent for this and through the years, she created hundreds of exquisite arrangements. She loved doing crafts and making things for people. Gayle accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age and shared her faith with others at every opportunity.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne Lee and Bobby Gene. Survivors are her fiancé, Wilhelm Kuttler, best friend, Marilyn Cook, sister, Carla Ellis and husband Ted Ellis of Blackwell, and Sam Garlett and wife Jaretta Garlett of Ponca City.
Gayle had no children of her own, but doted on her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Services will be held at Trout Funeral Home on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11AM with Jack Adams of New Hope Christian Fellowship officiating. Interment will be at the Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Gayle will be available for viewing on Wednesday from 5:00PM-8:00PM and Thursday from 8AM-8PM. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 6PM-8PM.
