Denise McClaflin

Denise Faye Sisco McClaflin of Marland went to be with her Savior on April 6, 2016.
Denise began her life on May 4, 1959 in Pawnee, OK with parents Russel and Maggie (Mizell) Sisco. She was born the 11th of 15 children with a twin sister, DeAnna Gaye Sisco. She attended schools in Pawnee, Marland and Ponca City, graduating in 1978. She was employed by Furr’s Cafeteria in Ponca City, OSU in Stillwater, and worked 28 years with Southwest Cupid in Blackwell. Denise married Darwin McClaflin on January 11, 1986 in Ponca City. They lived their married life together in Blackwell, until Darwin passed in 2011.
Denise enjoyed time with all her family, especially nieces and nephews, whom she loved with all her heart. She attended and enjoyed her church family from Eastern Heights Christian Church in Ponca City. She loved all the large family gatherings at holidays and special occasions and being at the family farm in Marland.
Denise was part of a large and very loving family being survived by Donald Sisco, LaDonna Sisco and Terry Sisco of the home, Dorothy Smith of Sand Springs, Carolyn Barnett and husband David, Ronald Sisco and wife Cheryl, Lonnie Sisco, Connie Mullennax and husband Terry, Kenneth (Bump) Sisco, Larry Sisco, Cathie Sisco, all of Ponca City, Cindy Sinor and husband Jim of Perry and Tamie Schneeberger and husband Jerry of Lamont. Denise helped raise her stepdaughter, Tracinda McClaflin, from Afton. She is also survived by 4 step-grandkids and longtime family friend, Judy Graves of Marland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russel and Maggie Sisco, her twin sister, DeAnna Gaye Sisco, husband, Darwin McClaflin, brother-in-law, Jimmie Smith, sister-in-law, Diana Sisco, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Denise will be available for viewing at Trout Funeral Home and Crematory in Ponca City. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Eastern Heights Christian Church on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Danny Cox officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Chimes Cemetery in Cleveland, OK at 2:30 p.m. following the service.
Donations may be made to the Ponca City Humane Society.
Casketbearers will be: nephews, Dale and Jerrald Smith, Tim Sisco, Ben Weber, Justin Mullennax, and Chad King.
The family will be gathering at the home of Larry Sisco, 1313 S. 6th Street in Ponca City.
