Marion Martin

(November 22, 1925 – February 14, 2016)

Marion Lucille Robinson Martin, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. At the age of 90.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bryan Beard officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Lucille was born on November 22, 1925 in Elden, Missouri to Floyd and Ardis McClain Robinson. Lucille attended various schools including Raulston, Fairfax, Oklahoma, Santa Paula, California and Kirkwood, Missouri, but spent most of her life in Ponca City.

Lucille loved all kinds of needle work, working outside in her yard and garden, cooking and keeping a very clean house, helping others and reading her bible. Her joys were her husband and children and grandsons, and her precious dog, Corky.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles M. Martin Sr., daughter-in-law, Patricia Martin, and son-in-law, William "Bill" Long.

She is survived by one son, Charles M. Martin Jr. of Nixa, MO, two daughters, Marion Louise Long of Clinton, MO and Donna M. Beard and her husband John of Ponca City, OK, two grandsons, Bryan B. Beard and his wife Julie of Tulsa, OK and Michael Martin and his wife Erin of Springfield, MO, three great granddaughters, and two great grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ponca City Alzheimer’s group or Hospice of North Central Oklahoma.
