Dacie Neufeld
(October 22, 2002 – January 28, 2016)
Dacie (Dacie Nae Nae) left this world to join her loved ones in Heaven who welcomed her with open arms on January 28, 2016. Dacie was the fourth of 7 children, born on October 22, 2002. Dacie loved to draw. She was a very talented artist who won many awards and ribbons for her drawings and creative art work. Any time Pictionary was the game of choice, Dacie was the first chosen. Her talent was recognized and encouraged by a well known local artist. Dacie was a very tender hearted, loving, caring person who could light up a room with her beautiful smile. Her quirky sense of humor could make all her friends and family crack up. She was first and foremost very passionate about animals and dreamed of someday becoming a vet. Among Dacie’s many loves was music. She also looked forward to Sunday evenings spent with her family piled up in the living room watching "The Walking Dead," one of her favorite shows. A highlight in her life was going to Comic Con and meeting one of the stars (Daryl Dixon) and being photographed with him. One of her favorite topics of conversation with her family while traveling in the car was "what would you do in the event of the Zombie Apocalypse." She always had very imaginative and ingenious ideas of the best means of surviving the Zombie Apocalypse.
Dacie is survived by her loving parents, Jeromy Neufeld and Amy Dailey Neufeld; siblings, Austin, Savannah of N.C., Alyssa, Jessalynn, Baylee and Cooper; paternal grandfather, Tim Neufeld, of Watonga, OK, great grandmother, Jean Dollallarhide of Ponca City, paternal great grandfather, Ed Neufeld of Guthrie, maternal grandparents, Randy and Vickie Dailey of Ponca City, great grandmother Dorthy Dailey of Skiatook. Because of Dacie’s sweet spirit her little cousins were drawn to her and thought the world of her. She was also an awesome aunt to her niece, Raelynn Neufeld who captured her heart. She has another niece Kora, who lives in N.C. whom she loved from afar.
Preceding her in death was paternal great grandfather Bill Dollarhide, paternal great grandmother Doris Neufeld, paternal grandmother, Linda McPeak (Nana), maternal great grandfather, Gene McColgan, maternal great grandfather, Pooch Dailey, and great grandmother Lila McColgan (Grangy). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society, PO Box 1671, Ponca City, OK 74602.
Dacie will be available for viewing at Trout Funeral Home on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 pm and Monday, February 1, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Northeast Baptist Church in Ponca City. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Dacie will be sorely missed by all her family and friends.
