Chad McNamara
(October 20, 1974 – January 21, 2016)
Chad Eric McNamara, of Pond Creek, passed away in a tragic car accident on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the age of 41 years.
Chad Eric McNamara was born the son of Bruce Gene McNamara and Renee Lynn (Brown) McNamara of Blackwell, Oklahoma, on October 20, 1974, in Blackwell. He spent his childhood in Blackwell growing up at the family business and mentored by his father. McNamara Motors is where Chad developed his strong work ethic and discovered his passion for working on cars and dirt track racing. They built his first car when he was 14 years old and raced at Enid Speedway. Chad also participated in varsity football and wrestling and graduated with the Blackwell High School class of 1993. Chad coached pee-wee wrestling for Blackwell Takedown Club. He thought his true love was racing, until his a daughter, Tiah Sheree Lynn, was born in 1995. He worked for McNamara Motors and I.C.F. In 1996 he started an electrician apprenticeship at Pioneer Technology Center with Snyder Electric and got his journeyman’s license in 2001 and worked for Welborn Electric shortly after. Chad started his career job with Philllips 66 in 2003 and until his untimely death.
In 2005 Chad met the love of his life, Risa Hill at Enid Speedway and they made their home in Pond Creek in 2010.
Chad was a member of IBEW 441, First Baptist Church, NCRA two-time champion in 2009 and 2011; three time Street Stock National 10 to Win champion, 2005, 2006, 2008; Hutchinson National Champion 2011. Chad raced several different races including enduro, demolition derby’s, cruisers and IMCA and Sport Modified divisions. Chad loved racing and watching his daughter play softball.
Chad is survived by his daughter, Tiah Greenfield and husband Carson and their unborn child of Sapulpa; Risa Hill and daughter Megan Albright of the home; mother, Renee McNamara of Blackwell; sisters, Cristy McNamara-Mudgett and Shaye McNamara, both of Tulsa; brother, Tyler McNamara of Tulsa; nieces and nephews, Ashlyn McNamara-Ewy, of Tulsa, Alyssa Mudgett and Cody Rowell of Edmond, Amanda Mudgett, of Edmond and Brendon Mudgett, of Tulsa; great-nephews, Maddex Trig (Trigger) Ewy of Tulsa, and Waylon Don Rowell of Edmond. He is also survived by aunts, Becky Hawkins and husband Max, Marilyn Sisney and Cindy Ball, all of Blackwell, and Vernadine Shouse and husband Jim of Moss Bluff, La.; and an uncle, Mark McNamara of Blackwell, and many cousins and friends.
Chad was preceded in death by his father, Bruce McNamara; paternal grandparents, Geraldine Snow-Fredrick and Martin Patrick McNamara; maternal grandparents, Ernestine Mae Henrichs and Oliver Joe Brown; and uncles, Macky McNamara, Cecil (Craig) McNamara, Danny McNamara and Mike McNamara.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 26th at the First Baptist Church, Blackwell, Oklahoma, with Rev. Gregg Engle, Durant, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will be in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Sisney, Dustin McNamara, Mitch McNamara, Joe Hawkins, Brian Ball, Travis Brown, Buster Brown, Greg Lyons, Les Raglin, Wes Shields, Doug (Biscuit) Gillespie, Troy McCain, Casey (Bucky) Buxton, Kip Hughes, Ross McCartney, members of IBEW and all his racing family.
