Annabelle Fanions Malaska
January 29, 1926 – December 29, 2015
Annabelle Fanions Malaska passed away on December 29, 2015 in San Antonio Texas at the age of 89. She was born January 29, 1926 in Uncas, OK to Lorenzie D. and Mary Elizabeth Fanions. She grew up in Fairmont and then Red Rock, OK.
She married Elwood Malaska and is survived by their two children, Glenda & Larry Raper of San Antonio, TX and Dennis E. & Regina Malaska of Ponca City. Grandchildren, Larisa JoVaughn and Patrick Overby, Colleen and Brandon Camarillo of San Antonio, Dennis C. and Whitney Malaska of Ponca City, Christopher and Winnie Malaska of Red Rock, Jessica Malaska, and Clint Malaska of Ponca City, and. Four Great Grandchildren, Nathan Overby, Faith Overby, Elwood J. Malaska, Colt Sage, and Turner Malaska. A sister, Gladys Clark of Red Rock, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Annabelle lived in Marland and later moved to Ponca City. She spent her career in healthcare and worked at the Ponca City Nursing Home and later retired from St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She loved being with family and friends. She liked playing cards, marbles, and loved listening to gospel and country music. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Virgil (Joe) Tucker, sisters Hazel Malaska and Indianola Stephens.
Paul Bearers will be Dennis Malaska, Chris Malaska, Dale Malaska, Tony Malaska, Lee Clark and David Clark.
Funeral services will be January 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. Grace Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at the Red Rock Cemetery in Red Rock.
A donation may be made to the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City.
