Vera E. Paige of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Tuesday evening, October 27, 2015, in the Alliance Health Blackwell Hospital at the age of 82 years.

Vera E. Paige was born on October 10, 1933, in Bristow, Oklahoma, to Oscar Owen and Lora Alma (Turner) Grace. As a young girl she moved with her family to McAllen, Texas, before moving to Blackwell in 1942 where she attended Blackwell Public Schools. Following her education she married Bobby J. Paige in 1950 in Arkansas and they settled in Blackwell. In 1952 they moved to Minneapolis, Kansas, and later to Wichita, Kansas. In 1954 they returned to Blackwell to make their home. Vera began working for the Scott family before working for Turvey Packing Plant until it closed. She later worked for the City of Blackwell and Security Bank in their custodial departments. During her later years she worked in the home health care industry. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Blackwell. She loved and enjoyed all the family activities.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Paige and wife Opal of Blackwell and Terry Paige of Blackwell; two daughters, Rhonda Sue Ramsey of Kansas and Amy Sue Barnes and husband Daniel of Blackwell; a brother, Johnny Ray Grace and wife Diane of Blackwell; a sister, Rama Fay Ellis and husband George of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; a step-brother, Jimmy Wynn of Ponca City; a step-sister, Gerleta Kay Wynn of Blackwell; daughter-in-law, Debra Paige of Blackwell; sister-in-law, Nancy Grace of Blackwell; eight grandchildren, Chris, Katelynn, Kristina, Mellisha, Zack, Steven, Cory and Tina; nine great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Bobby; a brother, Owen: step-sisters, Verna Jo Ann, Phyllis and Carol; a step-brother, Paul; and a granddaughter, Rama Barnes.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 30th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with Rev. Vernon Stone of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

The grandchildren and nephews will serve as honorary casketbearers.
