Obituary for Scott Wilkins

Scott David Wilkins, age 50, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away March 17, 2015, at his residence.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00AM Monday, March 23, 2015, at the Hartford Avenue Church of Christ with Don Huddleston, minister officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Scott was born on April 18, 1964 to Dennis Wilkins and Haroldine Bray Wilkins in Ponca City, OK. He was raised in Ruston, Louisiana. While in high school, he excelled in football, baseball and weight lifting. Scott moved back to Ponca City in the Early 1980’s. After returning to Ponca City he worked with his Uncle Bill at Ward’s Heat and Air.
He later went to work for Northern Oklahoma College. He received an associate’s degree in Business there in the mid 1990’s. In 1999, Scott opened Superior Windows, and was a memeber of the AMBUCS organization. He owned and operated Superior Windows until his declining forced the closing of the business. Scott enjoyed the outdoors including, gardening, hunting, fishing, and more ball playing. Fishing with his sons was the highlight of his life. Scott enjoyed holidays with his boys and family, especially the 4th of July and t the yearly family Easter Egg hunt.
Survivors include his beloved sons: Devon and Austin Wilkins, of Ponca City, mother, Haroldine Fischer and husband Sam of Ponca City, father, Dennis Wilkins of Camden, AR, sister, Michelle Perry of Camden, AR, and his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Austin and May Roquemore, and Merrill and Maxine Wilkins, and his uncle Bill Roquemore.
