Beatrice Fry of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Saturday evening, March 7, 2015, at her residence at the age of 88 years.
Services are pending.Beatrice Mae “Bea” Fry of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in her residence surrounded by her family Saturday evening, March 7, 2015 after a brief illness.
Bea was born August 16, 1926 in Blackwell, Oklahoma and graduated from Blackwell High School, Class of 1944. She married Max Fry on September 14, 1944 in Tacoma, Washington and, after his discharge from the Marine Corps, they returned to Blackwell and worked together for years building and operating Fry Seed and Fertilizer Company. Max preceded her in death November 1, 2008. She adored her six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and made sure Christmas and other major holidays every year would be memorable for all. She was an avid bridge player and particularly enjoyed the company of her three cats, Sophie, Annie and Maxie.
She is survived by son, Steve Fry and wife Nan of Blackwell; two daughters, Leanna Kingham and husband Cricket of Tulsa and Dianna Holmes of Oklahoma City; and one brother, Bill Stone of Denver, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Bettie Butts.
At Bea’s request a private family service will be held.
