Obituary for Sandra Carnero

Sandra K. Goodger Suggs Carnero, longtime resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away March 6, 2015 in Ponca City. She was 65.

She will be available for viewing Monday and Tuesday until 8:00PM at Trout Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Albright United Methodist Church with Reverend Scott Spencer officiating. Burial will then follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Casketbearers will be Keith Howard, Clint Goodger, Daniel Suggs, Dannie, Suggs, Craig Braga, and Mike Steenburgh. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Sandra was born on April 20, 1949 to Byron Goodger and Leatha Allen Goodger in Ponca City. She was raised in the Ponca City area, graduating from Ponca City High School in 1967. Sandy went to the Ponca City Beauty Academy right after high school and set out on her career putting her in touch with so many people in the community. She loved doing hair for others and getting all the information about the goings on in Ponca City. While she enjoyed her line of work, she most heartily loved her family and those friends she grew to love as family, also. She never met a stranger and endeavored to befriend all she met.

Survivors include her father, Byron Goodger of Anderson, South Carolina, sons, Sean Suggs and wife Dana of Ponca City, Shane Suggs and wife Natalie of Kaw City; siblings, Tom Howard and wife Dorleen of Ponca City, Debbie Bible of Oscaloosa, Iowa, Gordon Goodger and wife Kathy of Guthrie, Lester Goodger and wife Brenda of Ponca City, grandchildren, Natasha Suggs, Daniel Suggs, Ryker Suggs, Dannie Suggs, Amanda Suggs, Kimberly Suggs, Logan Suggs, and Kristina Webster, and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and step father Leland Howard. she is proceeded in death by her husband Eloy Canero.
