Obituary for Clara Heldenbrand

Clara Audine Banta Heldenbrand, resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Via Christi Village. She was 89.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., January 5, 2015, at the Woodlands Christian Church the Rev. Roslyn Harrison, officiating. Burial will then follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City, OK. Viewing will be available Saturday and Sunday from 1-7 p.m. The family will be at the funeral home Sunday January 4, from 5-7 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Clara was born on February 5, 1925 to George and Hazel (Howarth) Field in Arkansas City, KS. She attended school in Chilocco where her father was an Instructor and later in Arkansas City, KS where she graduated high school. She was married to Jack O. Banta in April of 1947 in Guthrie, OK. She married Roy J. Heldenbrand in April of 1985. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and volunteered countless hours at Hospice and Raindrops. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by Robert Banta and spouse Karen, Richard Banta and spouse Cathy; Diane Cary and spouse Jim; Ron Heldenbrand and spouse Beverly; and Debbie Lundeen and spouse David, Brother George Field and spouse Edith. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren
Clara was preceded in death by her husband Jack Banta, her second husband Roy Heldenbrand, her daughter Connie Heldenbrand Disney, Sister Francis Ammerman and Georgie Walling.
Casket bearers will be Sheldon Banta, Mitchell Banta, Michael Disney, Brandon Disney, Roy Lundeen, Ty Atkins, and Patrick Heaney.
Honorary casket bearers will be Anna Lundeen, Leah Heaney, Alison Anderson, Emilie Disney, Sara Disney, Adam Heldenbrand, Steven Heldenbrand, Kristi Guthrie, Lindsey Davis, Jeff Davis, Don Cary, Karen Cary and Cindy Cary.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Raindrops Program through Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview Ponca City, OK 74601.
