Obituary for Margie Tyler

Margie Mae Tyler of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Monday evening, December 8, 2014, in the Blackwell Regional Hospital at the age of 92 years.
Margie Mae Tyler was born on September 23, 1922, in Temple, Oklahoma, to Leonard M. and Eunice M. (Howard) Clark. She grew up in Temple and attended Temple Public Schools. Following her education she married Leonard W. Tyler on September 9, 1939, in Walters, Oklahoma, and they settled on a farm where she helped with the family farming operation. They later moved to California where she began working assembling seat belts for the American Safety Company in Fresno. She worked there until her retirement in 1987. Her husband preceded her in death on May 25, 1992. Following his death she moved to Blackwell to make her home. She was a member of the Blackwell Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing dominos and her being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Wilma Bolton of Blackwell; two sons, Leonard Tyler of Blackwell and Jerry Tyler of Visalia, California; two sisters, Lillian Bowes and Rowena Stidham both of Fresno, California; a brother, Howard Clark of Boulder, Colorado; twenty-three grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry Tyler; and three daughters, Wanda Lloyd, Frances Gillespie and Audrey Stone Bennett.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 12th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with James W. Roberts officiating.
