Obituary for Nona Printz

Nona Mae Printz, age 93, former Conoco Secretary, resident of Tallahassee, Florida, formerly of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away November 5, 2014 in Tallahasse.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Trout Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Don Stanton officiating. Burial will then follow at the Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Nona was born on August 13, 1921 to Leo G. Fosha and Lena Renz Fosha in Riley, Kansas. She was raised in Riley, Kansas and graduated high school there in 1939. After graduation, she attended business college in Topeka, Kansas. Nona was married to Dr. Orrin Printz on May 24, 1941 in Clay Center, Kansas. She worked as a secretary for Conoco before retiring in 1985. After retirement, in 1987, Nona moved to Miami, Florida to be with her daughter Norrine and Norrine’s family. 1993 brought her to Virginia, and in 1998 to Tallahassee, Florida where she has lived since then. Before retirement, she was active in the D.A.V. Auxiliary, The Oklahoma Chiropractic Association Auxiliary and served on the board of the Conoco Credit Union. Above all else, she adored her family and loved spending her time with them.

She is survived by daughter and son in law, Norrine and Howard Martin of Tallahassee, Florida; sister, Janice and husband Dr. Charles Kirkpatrick of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren: Julie Savoy and husband Kendall of Dayton, Ohio; Steven Martin and wife Liz of Orlando, Florida; great grandchildren: Stephanie Brinkman and husband Adam of Toledo, Ohio; Lindsay Savoy of California; Rachael Martin of Orlando, Florida; Sydney Martin of Orlando, Florida; Brittany Martin of Orlando, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, and sister, Leona Huffman.

Memorial contributions may be made in Nona’s memory to the Big Bend Hospice House, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32308
