Wendy Ann Merritt, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away , Friday, October 24, 2014 in Ponca City, OK. she was 62.

No funeral services scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Wendy was born on May 11, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Herbert Carl and Adella Otrenba Axel.

She graduated from Coon Rapids Senior High School and worked as a waitress for numerous years. The love of her life was to be a stay at home grandmother.

She is survived by daughters, Nicole Ann Henderson and husband Kevin; Michelle Lee Swift and husband Jason; Ann Marie PeQueen and Husband David; grandchildren, James Edward Trammel, Tara Nicole Trammel, Courtney Lee Swift, Michael Cordell PeQueen, Cierra Dawn Trammel, Jaxon Kale PeQueen, and Greycien Marie PeQueen; brothers, Gary Axel, Clayton Axel, Dave Axel; sisters, VerRine Casey, and Candice Axel.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Herbert Axel, Cary Axel, and Leon Axel; sister, Patrica Sinks.
