Obituary for Thomas Ackerson

Thomas Duane Ackerson passed away at his home on Sunday, September 21, 2014 in his 60th year.

Tom was born on February 22, 1954 in Alliance, OH to George Oval and Bertdell (Harvey) Ackerson. He was a loving husband, Father and Grandfather. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1971-1972 during Vietnam. After his honorable discharge he finished his working career of 25 years as a truck driver.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; George Ackerson and James Ackerson.

Tom is survived by his wife, Linda, children Misty, Mindy and Dustin Ackerson, step-children; Bronco, Tonya, Denzley and Betty Jones. 16 grandchildren, three brothers; Allen Ackerson, Mike Ackerson and Brad Ackerson.

Memorial services will be 11 am, Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the First Church of God, 1101 W. Grand, Ponca City, OK with Pastor Dustin Ackerson officiating.
