Obituary for Delmas Rowe

Delmas Eugene Rowe, resident of Ponca City, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Ponca City Regional Medical Center. He was 88.
He was born February 14, 1926, in Topeka, Kansas to Floyd and Laura Neeley Rowe. After the loss of his mother, he was then raised by Floyd and Edna Jones Rowe, Floyd’s second wife.
Delmas was passionate about his service in the Navy, and his life in the oil business in Oklahoma and overseas. His interest in the oil business lead him to move his family to live and work in Libya, North Africa for a number of years prior to his return to Ponca City, Oklahoma to work at Continental Oil Company. In his later years, Del was a partner in the JRowe Real Estate firm and as co-broker and served as one time President of the Ponca City Board of Realtors.
His educational interests included pre-med at Washburn University in Kansas and he earned his Real Estate Brokerage license. Delmas had many business relations and friends world-wide.
Delmas is survived by his wife, Jeanne Rowe of Ponca City; his brother Monty Rowe and his wife Barbara, Patrick Rowe and fiancé Joyce Goodwin of San Antonio, Texas, and David Rowe and his wife Deborah Rowe of New Holland, Pennsylvania, 10 grandchildren, 15 loving great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
A memorial service celebrating Delmas’ life has been scheduled on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 2:00PM CT at the Hartford Avenue Church of Christ at Hartford and Joe in Ponca City and Mr. Don Huddleston officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory in Ponca City, OK.
