Obituary for Bettylou Hank

Bettylou Hank of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Sunday morning, September 7, 2014, in the Hillcrest Hospital in Cushing, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years.
Bettylou Hank was born on December 2, 1923, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Roy and Goldie (Stafford) Wells. She grew up in Braman, Oklahoma, attending Braman Public Schools and graduated from Braman High School in 1941. Following her education she began working for the United States Government as a martial command inspector at Wright Field in Wyoming. She married Armor H. Hank on April 1, 1944, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and they settled in Columbus, Ohio, where she served her family as a homemaker. Her husband, of forty-two years, preceded her in death on August 21, 1986, and she remained in Ohio until 1988 when she moved to Ponca City to make her home. She was a member of the Woodlands Christian Church in Ponca City.
She is survived by a daughter, Vickie Kreider and husband Nick of Springboro, Ohio; two sons, John Lee Hank and wife Jean of Columbus, Ohio, and James Stephen Hank and wife Lista of New Orleans, Louisiana; a sister, Carlene Rector of Missoula, Montana; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her step-father; a sister, Marge Hinkle; and a sister-in-law, Laura Hilton.
The family wishes to thank her special friend and long-term caregiver, Alecia Wood, for her diligent support and love and who was thought of as a daughter by Bettylou.
