She was the mother to two sons, Kevin and Gerald who were the light of her life. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister and friend. Earline was an animal lover and she had several pets that were lucky enough to spend their life in her loving care. No one came in Earline’s path that did not hear wonderful things about her sons or the latest stories of her dogs. She spent the last several years with Bentley and Milo by her side. Earline was an optimist and never stopped trying to better herself and her mind. While in her forties she went back to school and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. One of her first jobs was working in Pathology with Dr. Parks. She continued her Nursing career working in various Health Care positions, including: Ponca City Medical Center, Westminster Village and Shawn Manor Nursing Home. She also changed paths and worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for a short time at Trout School and in January received her Literacy Certification in hopes of helping with this program at the Ponca City Library.
She loved traveling and was fortunate to have made several trips to Germany, Scotland, New Zealand and Australia. Cooking for others was one of Earline’s greatest rewards. She was an avid baker and no matter what family function or illness, you knew that she would be there with a carload of food, including her famous pies. Earline was the rock of our family and would do anything to help someone in need.
