Obituary for Sandy Osborn

Sandy Osborn, longtime resident of Osage County, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning, July 16, 2014 at the Ponca City Medical Center. She was 60 years of age.
Sandy was born June 3, 1954 in Ponca City, the daughter of John Ross DeNoya and Bonita (Klapper) DeNoya. She attended school in Osage County at Braden School, and then at the Ponca City Schools. She was married to Gary Leroy Osborn on January 15, 1971 in the Asbury United Methodist Church in Ponca City. The couple lived in Ponca City before moving back to the DeNoya spread in the Osage where the couple have lived for the past 40 years.
She worked as a beautician in her early years as well as having a good time raising her family in the Osage, riding horses, raising animals and entertaining, as her family loved to do. Her family had an above ground pool, an arena where the kids ran barrels and learned to rope and do team roping. In later years she became a home health aide and worked at various institutions and home health agencies, as she enjoyed taking care of the sick and elderly. Her favorite enjoyment was her family, escpecially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Gary, of the home; two children, Gary Osborn and girlfriend Rachel Maple, and Cherisa Osborn and boyfriend J.W. Buxton; five grandchildren, Sara, Clayton, Dalton, Bailey and Haylee; two sisters, Rossina Sanders and Judy Edens and her husband Ronnie; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Ross and Bonita (Klapper) DeNoya.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at Grace Memorial Chapel.
