Obituary for Roberta Ross

Roberta Ross, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. She was 79.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Trout Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain, Tom Howard, officiating. Burial will then follow at the Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Roberta was born on December 21, 1934 in La Crosse, KS to Bill and Sevola (Hughes) Huber. She was raised by her mother and her step-father, Carl Burgeson. She graduated from Ponca City High School with the class of 1952. She was married to Tommy N. Ross on December 23, 1954 in Ponca City, OK. She worked in the tax department for Conoco and retired in 1985 after 32 years. After retirement she was interested in collecting Antique porcelain dolls and making porcelain dolls.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Ross of Ponca City, OK; son, Mark and his wife Melissa Ross of Ponca City, OK; daughter, Thomasine and her husband Charlie of Ponca City, OK; Grandchildren, Ashley Hendrickson, Brett Hendrickson, Thomas Hendrickson, Tanner Hendrickson, and Beau Hendrickson.

She is also preceded in death by great-grandchildren, Janessa Rainville, Landon Hendrickson, and Jordan Hendrickson. Preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill Huber, Jr.

Casketbearers will be her grandsons; Brett Hendrickson, Thomas Hendrickson, Tanner Hendrickson and Beau Hendrickson.

Honorary Casketbearers will be The Po-Hi class of 1952.
