Clyde Merlin Seal, 67 of Ponca City passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK. Clyde was born October 2, 1946 in Hardtner, Kansas to Merlin Andrew and Dorothy Imogene (Zundle) Seal.
Clyde grew up in Medicine Lodge, KS where he attended school. He drove a truck for 32 years before he started a restaurant named "Riverbride Cafe". He was a roper in his younger years. He married Kimberly A. Hammans on April 22, 2011 at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Ponca City, OK.
Clyde enjoyed reading, visiting with friends and doing fun stuff with family. He was a member of the McCord water district.
He is preceded in death by his father, Merlin Seal in 1991; his second wife, Carolyn in 1997 and a son, Mathew in 2009 and sister, Judy Eileen in 1950.
Survivors include his wife, Kim of the home; his mother Imogene Young of Ponca City, OK; his sons, Rick Seal of Alva, OK, Bryan Seal of Medicine Lodge, KS, Curtis Johnson Broken Arrow, OK, Heath McEnany of Ponca City, OK; daughters, Cara Carroll of Ponca City, OK Victoria Stockton of Del Mar, CA; a sister Melva Keen of Ponca City, OK; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
A Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Ponca City, OK with Pastor Doyle Sharp and Pastor Robert Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven-Sunset Memorial Park, Ponca City. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home, Ponca City, OK.
