Obituary for Edward Schmauch

Edward Harry Schmauch, resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Ponca City Medical Center. He was 60. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dee Wellington Bright, Sr., officiating and Deacon Steve Mallory, assisting. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Ed was born on February 10, 1954 to George Edward Schmauch and Emilie Margaret (Luke) Schmauch in Allentown, PA. He married Andrea (Underkoffler) Schmauch on June 4, 1977 in Lewisburg, PA.
Ed worked as a chemist and later consultant for Conoco, Inc., Conoco Phillips, and Phillips 66.Throughout his life Ed was avidly involved, and had a deep passion for the sport of wrestling as an athlete, fan, and coach. He was also deeply invested in his children’s various activities such as MathCounts, Aviation Explorer Post, band, and other youth sports. He served as a volunteer at the Friendship Feast for over twenty years. He was a communicant of Grace Episcopal Church where he was a member of the vestry, taught Sunday School, and sang in the choir.
He is survived by wife, Andrea Schmauch, son Jonathan Schmauch and wife Laura of King of Prussia, PA, son Andrew Schmauch of Edmond, daughter Marissa Schmauch of Tulsa, parents George and Emilie Schmauch of Macungie, PA, sister Barbara Reed and husband Joseph of York, PA, brother George Schmauch, Jr. of Macungie, PA, and several nieces and nephews.
