Obituary for Phillip Brookshire

Phillip D. Brookshire, was born September 15, 1946 to Thomas and Nancy Brookshire of Ponca City, Oklahoma. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2013. He was 67.

He was raised in Ponca City, Oklahoma and married Linda Bales and had one son, William D. Brookshire.

He retired from the city of Ponca City Solid Waste Division after 38 years. He enjoyed being with family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors, unless football, wrestling, or racing was on T.V.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Linda A. Brookshire, son William D. Brookshire, daughter-in-law Brandy L. Brookshire, granddaughter Alison D. Brookshire, and one great granddaughter Brooklyn, all of Ponca City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by three brothers, Tommy R. Brookshire of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Roy Brookshire and wife Peggy of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Kenneth Brookshire and wife Jennifer of Colorado, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents and sister Glenda Rosebary.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2013 at Bible Baptist Church, 333 S. Washington in Ponca City, with Pastor David Bosworth officiating. Remains will later be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
