Six people were arrested and a warrant request has been made for a seventh person following the execution of a search warrant Wednesday morning at a Ponca City residence. Kay County Detective John Grimes had been conducting an investigation of stolen forged checks and IDs that led to a residence at 725 N. Ash St. Sheriff Steve Kelley said a search warrant was issued and subsequently gave investigators enough evidence charge several people with possession of forged instruments, conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of methamphetamine and other related charges.
Sheriff’s deputies and Ponca City Police Officers executed the search warrant at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday with the assistance of an investigator from the Kay County District Attorney’s Office, Ponca City Code Enforcement and Animal Control.
