A fatality collision occurred on Wednesday, March 13 at 5:01 p.m. on Interstate 35 at mile marker 179 in Noble County south of Perry.
What happened was that 70-year-old Candace Box of Perry was traveling northbound on Interstate 35 in her 2012 Lincoln. That was when the pedestrian 80-year-old Gary Hylton of Praire Village, KS. was attempting the cross the northbound lane. That was when Box struck Hylton with her car. Hylton was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Seatbelts were in use by Box in her vehicle. Both Box and her vehicle are in normal condition.
