OSU’s Sluder, Freeman awarded Big 12 baseball honors

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – Oklahoma State outfielder Ryan Sluder has been named Big 12 baseball Player of the Week and Cowboys pitcher Michael Freeman is Pitcher of the Week.

Sluder was selected after hitting .400 last week with three home runs, five RBIs and eight runs scored as OSU won four of six games during the week.

Freeman was chosen after going 1-1 during the week with a 0.64 earned run average and 17 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched. He allowed just one earned run during the two games.

The award is the fourth time this season Freeman was named Pitcher of the Week, tying a conference record. Sluder has now been named Player of the Week twice this season.
