TULSA, Okla. (AP) – Tulsa players are expressing disappointment over the departure of coach Danny Manning to Wake Forest.

Rashad Smith, a 6-foot-7 forward, says he found out on ESPN, before Manning texted the team. Smith says he’s happy for Manning.

Athletic director Derrick Gragg says Tulsa President Steadham Upham put together a "very highly competitive offer" to try to keep Manning after two seasons ended with two trips to the postseason.
