Hospice offers Camp Monarch for children in grief

Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Inc., invites grieving families with children to attend the fourth annual Children’s Grief Camp — CAMP MONARCH, Aug. 26-27.
The goal of Camp Monarch is to provide an opportunity for children age 6-13 to learn ways of dealing with their grief after the loss of a loved one.
Activities will include team building, crafts, educational and interactive events, and it’s all free.
The excitement begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 26 with a family cookout. During this time, parents/guardians are encouraged to attend with their children for a time of fun and fellowship. The evening will wind down with a story from a very special guest.
On Saturday the children are encouraged to arrive at 9 a.m. for some group building games. The remainder of the day will be filled with fun learning activities. Lunch will be provided.
Things wrap up at 3 p.m. with a closing service. Parents/guardians are asked to attend.
