Man found dead along road near Catoosa, had gunshot wounds

CATOOSA, Okla. (AP) – Rogers County authorities say a man has been found shot to death along a road near Catoosa.

Sheriff's Maj. Coy Jenkins told reporters the body was found about 2 a.m. Friday just west of Catoosa.

Jenkins said it appears the man had been shot shortly before the body was found and that the body had several gunshot wounds.

Jenkins said there was no identification on the body and the man's identity was not immediately known. The body was sent to the state medical examiner's office.
