5 Killed in crash near Nowata

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports five people were killed in a head on collision yesterday afternoon just south of Nowata on Highway 169. Vehcile one was driven by Micah Walker of Nowata who was pronounced dead on the scene. Her passenger was Calvyn Wyckoff of Tulsa who was also pronounced dead on the scene.

The second vehicle was driven by Kevin Smith of Nowata who was pronounced dead at the scene. Passenger Maria Smith of Nowata was pronounced dead on the scene. A juvenille male passenger age 13 died enroute to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Another juvenille male passenger age 14 died at the scene.

OHP reports vehicle 1 was traveling northbound and went left of center for an unknown reason and struck the southbound traveling vehicle 2 head on. Reports indicate both drivers condition were normal.
