Our 31st Ponca City Leadership class will have a session on Kay County Government this Wednesday in Newkirk. Brian Hermanson, Kay County District Attorney, is the Day Chair for this session.
It is that time of year when we start promoting Ponca City attractions and events. We will be at a tourism show in Springdale, Ark., this next weekend and then in McAllen, Texas, the following week. We do a great job promoting Ponca City to winter Texans at the McAllen show. Many will stop at Ponca City on their way home this spring. We also believe northwest Arkansas is a great area to attract visitors to Ponca City.
Have you purchased your Chamber Banquet tickets? Our annual chamber banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Phillips 66 atrium. To purchase your tickets, phone the Chamber Office at 765-4400 and we will mail them to you, or you can come by Fifth Street and Grand Avenue to purchase your tickets. RCB Bank will host a pre-banquet reception for all chamber banquet ticket holders from 4 to 6 p.m.
