12-year-old Hit by Pickup While Sledding in Broken Arrow Has Died

The Broken Arrow Police Department says the 12-year-old boy hit by a pickup Thursday while sledding in has died.

The child’s identity has not yet been released.

Officers are still working to identify the suspect vehicle driver involved in the hit-and-run on East Albany Street around 5:20 p.m.

Video and witness statements indicate that the truck was a 3/4-ton or 1-ton newer-model white pickup with dark windows and extended mirrors.
