10 Oklahoma State wrestlers heading to NCAA championships

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – The No. 2 Oklahoma State wrestling team is heading to the 2016 NCAA Championships with each member of the 10-member team qualifying for the tournament.

No. 1-ranked defending national champion Alex Dieringer at 165 pounds and No. 1 Dean Heil at 141 pounds lead the Cowboys’ team.

Also qualifying are No. 4-ranked heavyweight Austin Marsden; No. 6 Eddie Klimara at 125 pounds; No. 6 Joe Smith at 157; No. 8 Nolan Boyd at 184; No. 9 Chandler Rogers at 174; No. 11 Anthony Collica at 149; and unranked wrestlers Gary Wayne Harding at 133 and Preston Weigel at 197.

OSU is one of three teams to qualify all 10 wrestlers. The others are Rutgers and Nebraska.

The tournament is Thursday through Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
