10-Inch Water Main Break on Hartford Avenue

The City of Ponca City has issued the following Press Release:

Water Main Repair

Work to repair a 10” water main at the intersection of Fifth Street and Hartford Avenue is expected to be completed today.  Customers located in the Hartford Square Shopping Center are currently without water. Water service will be restored to the affected customers once the repair is complete.

Street Repair

Work to repair the street, damaged by the water main repair, is expected to begin Thursday, September 24 and end on Monday, September 28.

Detour information for traffic on Fifth Street and Hartford is as follows:

• All east-bound traffic on Hartford must detour south on Fourth Street;
• All west-bound traffic on Hartford is not affected;
• All north-bound traffic on Fifth Street must detour on Fresno Avenue;
• All south-bound traffic on Fifth Street must turn right on Hartford Avenue.
